Top 100 Products of 2011
As a nod to the performance purist lineage embodied in the Sandy Bridge-E CPUs (i.e., the Intel Core i7-3960X processor), the ASUS Rampage IV Extreme motherboard has eight DIMM slots to take full advantage of the quad channel memory architecture of Intel's X79 chipset. The board also features the OC Key which is an exclusive piece of equipment that sits between your graphics card and display monitor. Using on-screen display (OSD) technology to control and monitor overclocking and basic BIOS matters, the OC Key attaches a transparent, graphical overlay on the original screen output and provides an informative menu for monitoring and overclocking purposes. The OC Key introduced on this board is one of the key differentiators among other OC-caliber motherboards that goes all out to make overclocking for enthusiasts easier to monitor and control on-the-fly.

Best Gadgets of 2011
As of this writing, there are only two brands that have launched their versions of the Ultrabook and while the Zenbook is more expensive than the competition you do get a lot for what you pay.

Overall 8.4
Overall, I am very impressed with this laptop from ASUS. It can be considered as an ALL in One machine. Speed step technology is kicking in when I am just using this laptop for browsing, office applications and downloading. Power of the core i7 will kick in once you use it for gaming, photo editing and video encoding. LED display included is a very good addition. The Chiclet keyboard is pretty amazing and comfortable even after using for extended hours. The included windows 7 Home Premium is good enough for your everyday use – no need to go ultimate!

Eee Pad Transformer Prime TF201

HardwareZone.com.ph 9/10
The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime with Android 4.0 seems to be a perfect match for each other. We did not experience the occasional lags on the device that were reported when it was running Android 3.2. Even the boot up process is much faster now. The overall user experience is beyond any doubt, a step above all other Android tablets and closes the gap with the Apple iPads. We enjoyed using the Transformer Prime loaded with Android 4.0, especially the improved multitasking, home screen folder support and enhanced lock screen functionality.

We give ASUS the nod for Best Value, however because it offers a more well-rounded package as far as the combination of design and features are concerned.

HWM Recommended
ASUS has also paid adequate attention to the P9X79 PRO's overclocking aspect, although do not expect it to be as abundant as in the case of the Rampage IV Extreme. Physically, the board is equipped with onboard switches for power, reset, and clear CMOS, together with a debug LED, all of which help overclockers play around with the board more easily. Additional tweaking options are provided through the board's UEFI BIOS, a feature that is quickly becoming a standard among today's generation of motherboards.

HWZ's Overall Rating: 8.5
Prices start at S$1,398 (UX21, Core i3, 64GB), ending at S$1,998 (UX31, Core i7, 256GB). We'd recommend getting the highest configuration you can afford, because SSD size has some influence over performance.
